John Steen

 

Chief Executive Officer – Board Member

As CEO of Paradigm, John Steen oversees all aspects of the company. Prior to joining Paradigm in 2017, he oversaw all business development activities of Sage Midstream. Before Sage, he was Director of Commercial for Lone Star NGL where he was responsible for commercial and development activities around gas processing, NGL transportation, and NGL fractionation assets. Prior to Lone Star, he was Director of Business Development with LDH Energy, where he had similar responsibilities. Mr. Steen has also worked for LDH Energy, the Lewis Energy Group and the Atlantic Trust division of Invesco. He has a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University, an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in International Studies, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also Chairman of the Texas Racing Commission, which oversees all pari-mutuel wagering on horse and greyhound racing in the state, and is a CFA charterholder.

 

 

Troy Andrews

President – Board Member

Troy Andrews has more than 25 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the US and Canada, with a focus on Refined Fuels, Natural Gas Liquids, Ethanol, Crude and Natural Gas. His industry background includes executive management roles at Aux Sable Midstream and Lansing NGL Services, as well as SemStream, where he led propane supply and logistics across North America. While at SemStream, Troy was project lead on the construction of an NGL pipeline and rail-loading terminal near Sidney, MT, and while at Lansing led the construction of a second NGL facility near Dore, ND. His career began at The Williams Companies where he spent 17 years in terminal operations, pipelines, business development, supply/logistics and energy trading. Mr. Andrews has an MBA from Baker University and a BA in Psychology from Central Iowa University.

Ben Daitch

Chief Financial Officer

Ben Daitch has more than 25 years of financial experience, 16 of which have been dedicated to the Energy sector. Prior to Paradigm Energy Partners, Mr. Daitch was Chief Financial Officer of JAMEX, Inc., Lonestar Resources Limited, Cano Petroleum, Inc. and CDXGas, LLC (an EIG-controlled entity). Before becoming a CFO, he was a VP at EIG Global Energy Partners and an Investment Banker at UBS Investment Bank, Banc of America Securities and Deutsche Bank, focused on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and capital raising in the Upstream, Midstream, Majors, IPP and Utility sectors. Prior to obtaining his MBA, Mr. Daitch underwrote large commercial casualty insurance programs for American International Group and The Hartford. Mr. Daitch has an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BS in Management from Binghamton University.

Tommy Janik

 

Chief Operating Officer

Tommy Janik joins Paradigm Energy Partners with 38 years of oil and gas industry experience. His technical and executive management expertise spans broadly across the industry, covering all areas of Engineering, Engineering Design and Corrosion services, Project and Construction Management, Operations, and the construction and maintenance of Natural Gas and Liquid Pipeline Facilities. He also carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in pipeline integrity management processes, safety management programs and merger and acquisition due diligence investigations. Prior to signing on with the Paradigm team, Mr. Janik held executive management positions at Summit Midstream Partners, LLC, Caiman Energy, LLC, Crosstex Energy Services Company, L.P. and TEPSCO, LP. Mr. Janik has a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

 

 

Jack Howell

 

Board Member

Jack is a Senior Managing Director with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Prior to joining Stonepeak, Jack covered the oil & gas sector for Davidson Kempner, a hedge fund that focuses on distressed investments. Prior to Davidson Kempner, Jack worked for Denham Capital, an energy-focused private equity firm. Jack started his career in Credit Suisse’s oil & gas investment banking group. Jack holds a BA in Plan II Honors and Business Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

 

Ben Judson

 

Board Member

Ben is an Associate with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Prior to joining Stonepeak, Ben was a member of Credit Suisse’s Global Energy group, where he focused on the power, renewables, and utilities sectors. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University.

 

 

Forrest Wylie

 

Board Member/Advisory Team

Forrest Wylie is one of two senior operating partners at Stonepeak jointly responsible for investments in the midstream energy sector. Forrest has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, having worked for publicly traded companies in the E&P, offshore drilling, energy marketing and midstream sub-sectors. Forrest was formerly the CEO and Chairman of Buckeye Partners, L.P. Forrest also serves on the boards of Cross Group, Power Holdings LLC, USA Compression and Coastal Energy.

Scott Hobbs

 

Advisory Team

Scott Hobbs is one of two senior operating partners at Stonepeak and has been in the energy industry for more than 35 years. He presently serves on the board of directors for Suncoke Energy Partners, and previously served on the board of directors for Buckeye Partners, American Oil & Gas and CVR Energy. Scott was also previously Executive Chairman of Optigas, a private midstream natural gas company sold in 2006. From 1977 to 2001, Scott worked for the Coastal Corp. where he last served as EVP and COO for its natural gas operations in the Rocky Mountain region. He was also CEO of CIG Resources where he was responsible for certain non-regulated business activities in the Rocky Mountain area. In his different positions at Coastal subsidiaries, Scott was responsible for operations, engineering, regulatory compliance and all commercial activities.
