Troy Andrews

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Andrews, one of the founders of Paradigm, leads the business development team and also serves on the board of the Joint Ventures. He has more than 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on project development, team building, wellhead gathering, gas processing, NGL supply/logistics and finished fuels marketing. Previously, he led the Bakken Development Team at Aux Sable and the NGL Business Unit at Lansing Trade Group. Prior to Lansing, Mr. Andrews was at SemStream, where he led the propane supply and logistics teams across North America. He began his career at The Williams Companies where he spent 17 years in terminal operations, pipelines, business development, retail and wholesale supply/logistics and energy trading. Troy has an MBA from Baker University and a BA in Psychology from Central Iowa University.

Tommy Janik

 

Chief Operating Officer

Tommy Janik joins Paradigm Midstream with 42 years of oil and gas industry experience. His technical and executive management expertise spans broadly across the industry, covering all areas of Engineering, Engineering Design and Corrosion services, Project and Construction Management, Operations, and the construction and maintenance of Natural Gas and Liquid Pipeline Facilities. He also carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in pipeline integrity management processes, safety management programs and merger and acquisition due diligence investigations. Prior to signing on with the Paradigm team, Mr. Janik held executive management positions at Summit Midstream Partners, LLC, Caiman Energy, LLC, Crosstex Energy Services Company, L.P. and TEPSCO, LP. Mr. Janik has a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

 

 

Matt Edwards, CPA

 

Chief Financial Officer

Matt Edwards is the Chief Financial Officer at Paradigm Midstream and was part of the core start-up & development team. In addition to Finance, he has also led the Accounting and Human Resources departments and has played a critical role in the company’s operations and strategic development. He has more than a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on building Finance & Accounting procedures & infrastructure for start-up midstream businesses. Before coming to Paradigm, Mr. Edwards was the VP of Accounting at Valor Petroleum, which constructed the Starmex Big Wells gathering system in the Eagle Ford, and had various non-op upstream investments. He was also Director of Accounting at Infinity Midstream, which developed midstream projects in North Dakota. Mr. Edwards started his career at Ernst & Young in the tax group, specializing in partnership taxes. Matt has an MPA and BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

 

Warren MacGillivray

 

Partner – Paradigm Board Member, Boston

Mr. MacGillivray is a Partner in Ares EIF, within the Ares Private Equity Group. Additionally, he serves on the Ares Private Equity Group’s EIF Funds Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2015, he was a Partner at Energy Investors Funds, where he focused on portfolio company management. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services, where he focused on portfolio management, underwriting, and technical advisory services. In addition, he was Manager of Business Development and Sales for North America at GE Energy. Mr. MacGillivray holds a B.S. from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Marine Engineering and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic University in Management and Technology.

 

 

Scott Parkes

 

Principal - Paradigm Board Member, San Francisco

Mr. Parkes is a Principal in Ares EIF, within the Ares Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2015, he was a Senior Vice President at Energy Investors Funds, where he focused on originating, analyzing, structuring and closing new fund investments, as well as ongoing portfolio company management. Previously, he held various finance roles within Exxon Mobil Corporation. In addition, he was a Financial Analyst in the Global Power Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan. He began his career at as a Financial Analyst at McManus and Miles, a boutique investment bank serving the U.S. electric power industry. Mr. Parkes holds a B.A. from Columbia University in Economics and an M.B.A. from Yale University School of Management in Finance.

 

 

Dave Rinder

 

Vice President at Ares Management – Paradigm Board Member, New York City

David Rinder is a Vice President within the Ares Private Equity Group. He is responsible for originating, analyzing, structuring, and closing new fund investments, as well as ongoing portfolio company management.

Prior to joining Ares in 2015, Mr. Rinder was an analyst in The Carlyle Group’s Energy Mezzanine Opportunities Group, where he worked on strategic and financial transactions in the energy sector. Mr. Rinder received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.

 

 

 

Shawn Saint

 

Vice President – Paradigm Board Member, Boston

Mr. Saint is a Vice President in Ares EIF, within the Ares Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2015, he was a Vice President at Energy Investors Funds. Previously, he was an Associate at GE Energy Financial Services. In addition, he was an Associate at GE Capital Aviation Services and a Senior Investment Analyst at GE Capital. Mr. Saint holds a B.S. from Bentley University in Finance.
